CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Response to the challenges of the modern world
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability includes economic viability, environmental integrity and social responsiveness. These include programs, processes, activities, and products that enable organisations not only to deliver long-term economic or financially beneficial returns, but improvements in environmental and social systems.
We are committed to creating building solutions that balance care for people and planet, and we do this by putting people first and introducing new building concepts to change the building sector. We are aware that CSR & Sustainability goes beyond our own activities, and we take a responsible approach throughout the entire process.

SUSTAINABILITY
As a profession architects have an obligation to practice in such a way that will ensure continued and stylish co-habitation within a complex stressed environment and multi-faceted eco-system. In short we need to be sustainable. There are no half measures. We subscribe to the sage words of Yoda "Do or do not, there is no try". He was green in more ways than one.
Group Architects believes you can live without air-conditioning in a properly designed building. To be fair we also believe you can live without the colour beige. Our buildings are designed with extraordinary Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) and passive design features.
In all we aim to 'future proof' our buildings and enrich the lives of our clients in the process. The only way to the future is to be sustainable in the present.

JULIAN BRENCHLEY
Principal Architect
Julian Brenchley was born in Canberra in 1967, and studied philosophy at Sydney University, and finally architecture at the University of Technology NSW where he graduated in 1994 with Honours. The fundamental design approach is one of 'reading' the built environment as a series of codified forms that are too rarely associated to function.
Julian aims to create design solutions that are exciting, dynamic and accessible. Julian Brenchley has been both lecturer and tutor at the University of Technology in Design Theory, as well as undertaking post graduate research projects in design philosophy. Julian Brenchley is a Registered Architect in New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT. When not at work Julian is trying to get the kids away from the TV or sailing, or both.
